ok turned on car last night after work and was making a wierd noise like a tappet noise but loud, and it didnt go away, checked oil this morning and its full, its reallly worrying me
the head was off not long ago to get the gasket done and skimmed etc, is it possible that something wasnt properly tightened down?
or am i looking at bottom end bearing, i realy dont think its this , its just not chappy enuf :S

ok i'm mega mega confused, went to get the video and ended up having an indepth search of the engine,
ended up being the spark plug on cylander 3 was slack :S, i need new leads i know that but how on earth did that happen

Vibration, or wasnt tightened corectly when replaced
Or do you mean the noise? Noise would've been the electric sparking probably

you'll find 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v engines will somehow vibrate the tips off the top of the spark plugs, also find this in the xe and let engines..
just make sure you do it up propperly (not so tight that its gona snap off)
should be finger tight then a nip should hold
