Ok I really need help on this one was almost home today and all of a sudden a load metal squeak started coming from the front. Then it got louder and started making a grinding noise. Need to find out what it is I thought gear box oil? But the steering has been a wee bit iffy lately. Anyone any ideas? Its fine when idling tho. Its a x16xe engine if that helps?

most likely a wheel bearing gone

grinding noise would probably be water pump

Water pump was replaced just recently. Didn't think of a wheel bearing

Will be getting looked at tomorrow so if anyone has anymore ideas of what it could be?

well just back from the garage and its the drivers rear wheel bearing. Completely gashed so getting fixed tomorrow
