Looking to buy some Pioneer CDJ 800's I understand there is Mk 1 & 2
Whats the differance other than mp3? Is there any physical differance?
I'm not bothered about the mp3 so going for the Mk1 becuase there cheaper but just want to check if there are any other differances
Cheers, Chris

i think they both do mp3 mate but arnt 100% on what the difference is as iv never looked too far into 800's, maybe worth digging about on the pioneer pro dj site? or a dj forum
you wont be dissapointed with them either way.

got 1000's also and theyre ace, but theyre not SO much different from the 800, the features like reverse etc are just luxury, you dont reallllly need them. 800's are fine
im thinking of gettin another pair to take round mates house's n stuff

Just got myself some CDJ 400s. Like a compact version of the 800. Worth every penny so far.
Id of went to 800s, but couldnt afford to really.
Few mates have 1000s. But they all have there own club nights, and are semi-pro etc. No need for them imo if you are just messing about in your room.

Cds man. But is mp3 compatible aswell, has a USB slot on the top of the deck. So can hook it up to a laptop or ipod aswell.

Bull. Its not the proper way, its the original way. That statement is like saying tv is better analogue than digital!
Although i still love vinyl, it doesnt compare to the top end cdjs anymore, they are just far too advanced. The possibilitys with CDJ mixing is endless. Just check out James Zabiela, he has taken mixing to a whole other level with the CDJs.
