I know this is wrong section, but need a quick answer please.

Just drove home from Preston to Leeds in the pissing down rain, got about 30 miles from home and car started spluttering badly when oon full throttle, was ok just resting my foot on the pedal to get me home, but i have no wing liner/wheel arches in, and a K&N on it, could it be just water thats been sucked in? If so, how do i solve this? Btw, the K&N is a bit battered.

Thanks. Andy

Water will have got inside yes. Check your K&N over, then I guess leave the car idling so it dries up. Mine had a similar problem and it cleared itself after a wee bit of driving and idling.

my old xe corsa did this when i didnt have arch liners in, it'll be ok when it dries out. either put your arch liner back in or just get a shield under the filter

Havent got the arch liners, going to put standard airbox back on, never had a problem with that on, only put k&n on 2 week ago.
