Looking to purchase one, do them take much maintaining?

expensive to run as in if they break?

my mate has one, just had to change the glow plug iirc then it worked fine. he's had it for 2 years with no problems.

They're dear to buy John but not as much agro to maintain and keep running as glow fuel cars.

They are a bit of a money pit as far as modifications and wish lists are concerned though.

Once they're run in, they just start and run and behave and won't stall till the fuel runs out and you get about 45 mins from a tank. You don't have to fuck around with the mixture according to weather and ambient & engine temps the way you do with 1/8th stuff.

Plus of course the fuel is significantly cheaper and easier to obtain than nitro mix.

Bit of a bugger when they don't start etc, if you take it out and get it running first go your doing well! I have a little Thunder Tiger T4N, two gears so it sounds awesome when changing up a gear. Goes well too Loads of hop up bits to buy to keep you busy.

Yeah, Ben mentioned glow plugs so wasn't sure if we're talking petrol or nitro here For the record my mate runs a few 1/5 cars and they are a pita too!
