hi all, im mezzy, i drive a vectra supertouring. our lass has 1.2 corsa b and having a few problems with it.

theres a serious lack of power, i thought MAF sensor, ICV, or TB could need cleaning. Theres no EML light on but il be doing the paperclip test later on o see if anything else comes up. will also be giving it a full serivce hoping it solves some problems

is there any thing else that could be causing loss of power?

AND rear wheel bearing needs changing, i dont know what im doing as its my first bearing so is there a how 2 anyway for doing it.

Cheers

Hi, not much help from me but just to say, don't over tighten the rear hub nut, a lad off here lost a rear wheel the other day.

Oh, and welcome to cs

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

What kind of mileage is on it? Could be something to do with the throttle body. They have a tendancy to fill up with crap over time. Also check all of the plugs and if you can do a compression test on the cyclinders it could spell out something more serious is compression isnt right.

And welcome to corsa sport!

rear bearings are easy , just whip the centre cap off get the split pin out and wind off the castle nut , drum comes off and the front bearing will just drop out , you will have to flick the rubber dust seal out of the back to change the inner bearing . mainly when you put it back on , wind the castle nut up with a pair of plyers and fit the wheel , if you have overtightend the nut the wheel wont shake from side to side , you need to set the castle nut so the wheel just has a tiny knock of play from side to side

some wally in college cranked his up with a adjustable spanner and needless to say he needs new bearings

I changed my rear wheel bearing two weekends ago, really easy job mate. Get a Haynes manual and it goes through step by step in there.

1.2 16v or 8v?
