i bought a corsa failing its m.o.t on the lambda sensor its a 1.4 sport s reg which is newer than my previous yet does pull lyk my old one the lambda sensor practicaly tells the engine how much fuel and air and oil and stuffs goin through the manifold out the engine so it could be telling your engine to put less petrol into the engine or less air ect. it cost me 25 quid for brand new one from my local car parts dealer only problem is i had to take my whole manifold of to take it out because it the original sensor and i needed to blowtorch the sensor and the manifold

Not much at all. Would recommend getting one new as its a vital component to engine mangement. However a used one could work well though.
Could indeed cause loss of power if the fuel mixture isnt right and its running too lean.
