Got this email today saying im elligible for a refund from HM Customs
It was sent to my hotmail, first thoughts were it could be dodgy.
Anyone ever heard of this before?
Heres what the email said
After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity we have determined that
you are eligible to receive a tax refund of Ј 99.23.
Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 3-6 days in order to
process it.
A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons.
For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.
To access the form for your tax refund, please Click here

wouldnt reply to the email personally but might be worth a call to the revenue, you can get refunds but never thought they emailed you out would of thought it would be a letter personally.
were you expecting anything?
more to the point its not like the revenue to tell you your due a refund they hate giving money out.

Some how I very much doubt HM customs and revenue would contact you via E-mail. Maybe I'm wrong though?

I bought a snowboarding jacket from ebay 2 months ago. It was sent from america and I had to pay a customs fee of something like £15.
I got the letter from parcelforce about the fee, think it was more of an import tax I had to pay
I clicked the link to see what it would send me to. Il do a print screen

tbh id ring them as it is a bit dodgy that the emailed you as i seriously doubt they would have your hotmail address on their system, if you were due a refund they would be more likely to write you a letter, and even thats unlikely as they prefer not to give money out
