Well i will be loosing the steelies / yelloow trims soon in favour of some corsa b sxi alloys, was just wondering if the short stumpy bolts i use on the steelies be suitable for the alloys, or are they to short, if so can anyone recomment where to buy a full set from? i also want locking wheel nuts

Obviously I cant use to long a nut as the wheel will wobble around

Cheers in advance, faz x

you sure? i dont want
a) the bolt to stick out fo far causing the alloy to wobble, but also
b)not have enough threads into the hub rendeing it unsafe

They will be ok, but your meant to get Alloy bolts instead of steel ones, thats the only reason for swapping them.

(Thread title, my mate on a fancy dress night out)

Only reason that is is because steel and alloy corrode against each other.

They will be fine, and the have locking centre caps so dont need locking wheel nuts, doubt anyone's going to want to steal them.

Go down to your local vauxhall and buy a set of lockers from there.

As said though, nobody will be stealing b sxi alloys.

Go and take one off and measure it with a ruler if you want locking wheels nuts, although I assume most are just one length? But who in there right mind is going to rob some £50 wheels!
