ive got a corsa with a 1.6 8v out of an astra in it . i know courtenay sport did a 1.6 8v turbo engine for the nova. just wondering if any1 knows where i can get some flanges made to fit the turbo to my standard manifold???? i have a turbo , intercooler etc from a 306td

im sure diesel turbos are no good for petrol turbos

correct they dont spool up the same and diesel turbos have more aggressive fins on them

well every turbo conversion ive seen done at home has been done with diesel turbo
saxo vtr with a pajero turbo etc
|

i cant see why a diesel turbo would be any diffrent??? they are only moving air . not fuel.

the diesel turbo will work fine, but wont boost up like a petrol tubo as they are made to supply different boost in different areas of the rev range, youll need to get either some low comp pistons, or a thick head gasket to lower compression, as for the turbo cant you get the flanges of the car the turbo came off anf reweld them onto yours!!!

thats what u asked, i asnwerd it
my mate has a 1.6 gte trubo nova, all done the same, engineer job, told them what he needed, they made it

when i asked if anyone knew anywhere i meant . does anyone know any GOOD places to get it done. im not welding anything . i know how cast cracks and thats why i want the flanges made. 1 end fittin my manifold other end fitting turbo and turbo to a chopped down exhaust on the other side. the engine is getting another headgasket and a spacing plate made from 0.9mm titanium. all i want to know is there any recommended places to get some flanges made. didnt ask you to be a smart arse

would you not just go to a place that makes exhauts and get a custom one made..
