Hey guys.
My car's lowered on 40mm springs and riding on 17" wheels with 205/40R17 tyres. The ride is very uncomfortable and bouncy on a stretch of unstable road. Is this normal for a car that's been lowered? The dampers used are the original ones for the car. I was told when lowering 40mm you don't need to change the dampers. Will my ride be more comfortable with uprated dampers?

If you really want a nice ride, why did you lower it 40mm ?
If you want the car to look good, and handle better, then you have to put up with sh1t comfort

Yeah, standard shocks can't really handle the lowering that well. If you want the handling, get some proper sports shocks.
In fact, my standard shocks broke within about 2 months...

I had lowered springs and the ride was terrible, it bounced all over the road, I then got the matching dampers and it made a massive improvement.
