I've just got my bank card statement(It's a maestro) and my bank have been charging me 50p everytime I use my card, whether it's at a cash machine(even their own) or in a shop. Can anyone tell me why this is? In the last three months it's came to about £80

jesus you use your card quite a lot! no idea why they are charging you, sounds like it could be a fuck up on their part. i'd get down the local branch and ask for an explanation.

ive got a basic bnk account with hsbc crappy cash machine cards only.. but if ive got 4 quid i can get a tenner out  well chuffed .. no bnk charges as of yet

this happened to a girl at work, it was because she hadn't upgraded to the full account or something.

I'm with the Clydesdale, and it's like a savers account I've had since I was about 12 (I'm 20 this month). I didn't get any letter or anything informing me that they would be doing this. Do you reckon I'll be able to claim it back?

I very much plan to. Never got around to getting a current account, didn't see why I needed one. Surely they can't do that without even telling me? Turns out they've been doing it for six months.(They like to occasionally not send any bank statements).

I heard that bank is bad because its run by horses 
Yu will be able to get the money back BUT because its a savings account it might be in the small print that you can't use it too much or they will charge you.
