my mum is having trouble with her router.
virgin media came out to replace her modem and now the wireless router isnt working
i have tried to re install the software but it keeps coming up that the network adaptor isnt working.
we had this trouble before but dont know how we cured it
any ideas?

network adapter isn't working? sounds like something wrong with the computer itself. is she connecting wirelessly or via a cable? is it a PC or a laptop? how did she connect before?

if i pluc it in directly it works
try to connect a wireless router to it it stops working
its a pc but we need a wireless connection for the other pc and laptop we have

try reinstalling the software for the wireless card in the PC that isn't working. best way is to take the side off, get the make and model and google it for drivers, if you haven't got the CD for it somewhere. failing that post it in here and i'll have a look for you when i can

currently have the computer directly connected (no router) works fine
put the wireless router in and you cannot get on the internet on any computer wired or wireless.
trying to re install the router and it tells me that the network adapter isnt working
cannot see any serial numbers on it its not a card its just a small box
