I have a wee bit of debt to pay off. Phone bill / overdraft and a few other odds and sods.
Whats the cheapest method of borrowing money, other than actually borrowing money off someone?
Bank loan?
Credit card?
Anyone seen any good deals?
Looking to borrow £1500ish
Cheers

You'll have to repay the min amount each month to prevent paying interest, its never that much though.
I think interest free on purchases credit cards are slim pickings these days though, might be wrong.

I like the sound of csweatherston's idea.
Transfer the 1500 or so into my current account, pay all my stuff off, then set a direct debit up over the remaining time...

You cant get a 0% transfer card and pay everything off on it and have 15 months interest free - thats not how they work. balance transfer cards only offer 0% on actual transfers from an existing credit card, using them for spending is actually very expensive.
Best way to do it is a bank loan, tell them its for consolodation and if you have a good credit rating you might only pay £150 interest on a £1500 loan over 2 years

You can get them, companies do super balance transfer which is into your bank account (virgin did, think they still do) with normally a flat rate fee of a couple of percent with interest free for X months.

The annoying part is i get paid every 4th thursday, as opposed to every month.
It makes paying it back a tad difficult!

i got my dad to take out my loan as he got it at 8% apr, for me even though i have never ever had a bad credit rating the best they could do me was 17% apr. so i just pay back my dads loan.
