both our cars have been painted fairly recently so would take the paint off.

can you get strong masking tape?

normal masking tape isnt up to the job

masking tape is just that, for masking, anything else that is stronger will just wreck the paint.

Performance trim advise against using an epoxy type glue, im not sure why though?

was thinking about putting screws in every 2cm, letting the tiger seal set fully, removing the screws, filling the holes then just getting the carbon painted, as im not sure i like the weave on show?

im confuzzled now.

hmm, after reading the checkered roof thread, im thinking that some sort of vinyl may tidy it up a bit if i have to resort to screws??

i'm sure you can, but you could just paint them if not?

but, if you rivit it down, they will have to be close, otherwise you will get a wavy panel.

I need to find out what the lowest profile fixing is you can get, or if you could file the rivits down after fitting, to get them flush?

1. the rollcage wont fit with the sunroof in place.

Just had athought for the two of you about getting down flatter.

Lay abut of ply( say 6mm) over the top as it flexs, then wedge in bits of wood (2x1) as they bend easy between that and something above ie garage roof.

It's sounds odd but would work, abit like useing a dead man when tacking a ceiling, but in reverse/upside down.
