I people,
I have GAZ Coilovers, but the standard front springs are too soft (275lbs). I bough new coil springs of 300lbs but's continues to be too soft..
My base to compare was my previews H&R springs with standard shocks..
Any help?

i would have thought 300lbs is plenty hard enough, i have bilstein b12 shocks with 230lbs springs and its solid, the inserts in the gaz arent anything special either.

Hi!
Mr Truner, I forgot to tell tha my car is a Corsa C 1.3CDTI.
The front suspension is very bumpy, the coils only have rebound control.
GS1_16v what is the height of your springs? Mines are of 7" (7" 2.25" 300lbs).
If I pass in some hole the suspension seems to beat on the stop rubber.

must depend on the damper then, as im running 200lb spax springs on my spax coilovers and they are pretty stiff tbh...

not sure on hight. may be 7 or 8" mine are on a 1.7 cdti which is a heavyer engine. Try cutting the bump stop in half. That is what i have done. or may be your dampers need serviceing??

Putting higher poundage springs on the front is going to make it understeer more.

not realy. my car has more weight up front so need it. handles far better than when it had softer poundage springs...

even if it is a corsa c 1.3CDTI it shouldnt need 300 pound springs for road use, also if you have it low its going to just feel bouncy due to not using all the travel of the damper. i would adjust the settings on the coliovers and see if that helps.

bingo, although i disagree with the haveing it low will feel bouncy.
300lb is to stiff for road use.

yeh pherhaps bouncy is the wrong word, i mean it wont take the bumps in the round as well, may feel like it could easily "bounce" to one side if that makes sence. having it a tad higher will allow the damper to work better. not much of a problem on tidy roads but where i live, in the dam hills it causes problems. lol

yeh the gaz is better than the spax kit in my opinion, also been coilovers as well. mine was a 40mm drop with the bilsteins and 230lbs springs, handels realy well.
