need a new chain and sprocket on my ktm 200 exc and was wondering if anyone would recomend any combo's? i've never really been a fan of o ring chains i'm kind of tempted to give them a try again. usually i use renthal sprockets but i've seen a good deal on a D.I.D. setup. anyone got an opinion on these? cheers.

If its used offroad you dont want an oring chain, its wasted.
Usually use talon sprockets and RK chain on offroaders and sm, but renthal are just as good.

yeah, thats why i never really bothered with them, but a few people in my club use them and it made me think. i had an rk chain last time and seemed to go pretty slack pretty quick. no complaints with the renthal sprockets though so probably stick with them. cheers.

D.I.D are pretty spot on, I have a D.I.D chain (not an O-Ring) on my 2009 YZ 125, still the original chain and is lasting quite well. As for sprockets Renthal, Talon etc.. they are all pretty similar in terms of quality and durability.

Orings increase the drag effect of the transmission so you loose power through them. plus you need to clean them after evry meeting so orings dont offer any benefit.
We used 520 RK coloured on our SM race bikes and they didnt stretch anymore than a normal chain, thats who sponsored us so we used them anyway.
