Happy bday then mate!

Its a Honda Civic 1.4

It does have lots of toys but not as fun as my Corsa lol.

Insurance inspector came round Friday and he doesnt think it will be a write off. Should be geting my arches and GSi font bumper sprayed when it goes in for repair so it should all be ok

Just been down to HalFRAUDS + they gave me a MASSIVE SHOCK!

Not sure weather mine are 288mm or 282mm

Front Discs - 288mm £59.81 EACH
Front Discs - 282mm £74.83 EACH
Front Pads - ATE - £64.31 a set

Rear Discs - £48.69 EACH
Rear Pads - TRW - £35.36 A Set

I know this is probaly NORMAL to alot of people and its obviously NORMAL for this Motor.
But from a 1.4 Corsa Costing £35 A SET For Front Discs + £7.50 for Pads. I shit myself.

On Sunday I Had everything out of the boot so that i could clean it out + Wash the Boot Liner along with the Interior mats. Due to rain showers i had to put everything away except for the mats + liner, I left them out.
Once the rain stopped, I went back outside to give the Mats + Liner a good scrubbin'...No Dirty Minds, Just Dirty Mats.

The Boot liner Was dry this afternoon so I wacked that back in, but its still got an Oil stain on it.
After i had washed the spare + cleaned the wheel well. I replaced the Liner + My UN-BORN's Life Saving Bag.... THE LABOUR BAG!
oh, also put my overalls in there too.

I Then Finished washed most of the exterior but i really wanted to get the wheels off so that i could see what sort of condition they were in, so i made it a quick wash.

Nearside Wheels Off!

Very Dirty

Gave them a Clean + Packed in for the night as i was hungry!

WELL SORT OF!

I fell up-on the settings menu while turning the Camera off... Couple of Arty Farty pictures

Top Pic I Like the most:

Negatives: Top one for me

To Do List:
Scrub Drivers Side Wheels
Clean Door Shuts
Wax Car
Polish Windows
+ all that is in first page haha

Karlos.

P.S. I called VW today + they said i dont have any Recalls outstanding!

NIGHT NIGHT

Would have to disagree they do make noise and if the car also has an induction kit as well they dump back into the induction and make a wicked noise!

Ask anyone who has listened to my Golf!

The Passat Passed it's MOT on the 13th of this month.

I must add, it only had ONLY 1 Advisory.

Never had that before.

Slight Leak in Downpipe/ Manifold i believe

I shall check.

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!!!!!

Blimey its been a long time since i updated this thread!!!

Apart from the normal Cleaning, Servcing and general Making me bankrupt not much has been happening really... Up until now!

Starting in order of what they happened!

I had a bet with a friend that I could bury my car in the snow over the winter, as i thought it was going to snow loads... Here’s the outcome

I then had new Brakes fitted. No pics of this but they are standard replacements
Then Recently I bought a Milltek Exhaust and had it booked into AmD for the 6th May, with the intension of sending the car in for the exhaust to be fitted along with a Recirc Valve, Piper Air Filter and Remap... BUT!!April the 1st came and all hell broke loose!!

We went out to the tip and then I had a job to do on the car.
I had to take the seats out, so that I could refit a spring that had mysteriously appeared from the driver’s side.
So I set about Getting it sorted.
Tools... NOVICE TOOLS

Disconnected the battery

Couple of bolts later...

Slid the seat off the rails.

Disconnected the Electrics

And out it came

Fitted them all back up after i had found my problem. JOB DONE!!!
NO... I started the car and immediately it started to 'hunt',
then it started to hunt then bog down and stall.
so i knew there was a problem, and after a shout on here you guys said it will most likely be a problem
with Air flow... I was not looking forward to the price from the stealers.
While i sourced a Trailer/Recovery vehicle, the car was sitting outside getting older...
so i opted to clean the arches up and make it nice and a bit shiny for when it went in for work,
well more so for us after we got the car back

So i jacked it up and sat it on stands

The Dirt!

Then Used a mixture of Daisy and Water on the main Plastics and also Bilberry Wheel Cleaner on the metal areas.

And Cleaned!!!

Put the cleaned wheels back on, and dropped it back to the floor.

Then, as i didn’t want to damage the car any more than it was, so I pushed it to a position where the recovery truck could drag it up.

Also i forgot about the Badgeless grill that I fitted in February

Then the important day came... DIAGNOSTICS!!

BYE CAR!!!

This brings us to the FINALE!!!
The faults that were found on Diagnostics were..

- BATTERY – Must have been an old fault as the battery is in great condition.
- AIR FLOW METER - £95 from the Stealers
- AIR BAG – Which i knew about already anyhow.

RESULT!!!

I had my Milltek Exhaust fitted which turned out to be a ball ache, as the bolts to the CAT Sheered off... The bolts were a state.
Anyhow... the main result is that we now have our car back and it is working like never before!!
It Pulls and pulls and pops occasionally and im just in my element... well sort of.. As I can’t drive it!!!

Enjoy!
