Going to edinborough for a stag doo apparently in 2 weeks, any decent places to go, are there any like alternative/rock/goth type places kicking about seen as most of us who are going likes that type of music.

Not quite sure on Goth/Rock type places but Vodka Revolution is ace. I went there last night and the cocktails are fucking great

Your best bet is once you've decided where you're going, phone up and put your name on the guest list so you skip the lines to wherever you go

yeah ive been to vodka revs before there all over the country aint they? went to one in lincoln any way, are queues quite big like? how expensive is it, wonder how much i should take lol, never even been to scotland i dont think have no idea.

You get wierdo's anywhere you go Ash.
There's Frankenstein's, which is pretty damn expensive though and the queues are ginormous so it's better to try and get on the guest list, tell them it's for a stag do. However, there's The Hive, Liquid Rooms, Opium, Jekyll and Hyde(It's a gothic themed pub from the Eerie bar chain). Of all of those I'd recommend Opium though.

I went up there for a stag do about 10 yrs ago or something, was an awesome weekend.

The jekyll and hyde is the only place i can really remember though, breakfasts were great from there

It's fun trying to find the toilets too

For a stag do, and your sort crowd (goths) - AVOID george street

Prob best staying down at the grass market area, along cowgate.

You should kick the Saturday off with a game of Virtual Golf at the Canal Basin, http://www.clubhouse.co.uk/

Even if you cant play it's still funny as hell trying after a few pints

Then down the Grassmarket stopping at the Chicken Dippers!!

Then Up to Rev bar in Chambers St, Wash Bar, MAd DOgs for a few cheap ones then if still standing OPium or one of he floors in Espionage play Rock music stuff (I think)

Other good places are the News Rooms, Walkabout, Sportsters, Candy Bar, Hendry J Beans, Cargo, The Jam House

If you want a ride just ask to go to the Cav!!

lol well never going back there, dont like english people much do they lol :/

had a good time but could think of better places to go lol, drinks and food were pretty expensive and a few pubs down haymarket wouldnt let me in and wouldnt actually give me a reason why lol (hadnt had a drink at this point btw and wasnt in a large group at the time)

also not letting groups of more than 4 in is pretty strange never had that before, often go to clubs round my area in groups of 12 - 16 with no problems at all.

opium was good though, even though they wouldnt let me in the first night we went lol :/ again no reason given which was random lol
