Headint o quater mile this weekend and want to do some TEMPORARY removale of the rear interior to keep weight down. Havent been out to car to look yet but whats involved and is it easy and QUICK to do?
Any other weight saving measures that are only temporary that u guys can suggest, the spare wheel and parcel shelf will be gone and so will all debris kicking around in the car but anyhting else?

back seats boot carpet tools ie jack spare wheel wheel brace all the crap in the car ice cd's face off ya head unit should save some weight wear trainers and not boots. wear trainers with air bubbles to make em lighter

Cheer man, yeah just going to leave the spare here and hope for the best, not that far for me anyway.
I stated quick and temporary incase u read this
My cars only an SXi though, wouldnt be much of a race, ud still be spinning on the line when ive crossed the finish line 
u going on the 23rd aye? get some decent runs in on the quiet! U know anyone else going?
So howd u get the rear seats and trim out, is it just clips for the trim or those gay wee torque spanner things? Guessing its just straight forward when i bother to go have a look?

Those fucking things are well annoying, il find some way around that and try not to round them off at the same time

you can get a torq/ hex driver with loads of bits for the price of a pint (or two...)
the rear of my car is stripped and with reduced weight the back end is a bit "skippy" over bumps etc. Wont matter for a 1/4

Some good 'uns i can think of:
*Front and rear door cards
*Passenger Seat (but only remove once there)
*Rear bench
*Spare Wheel
*Any ICE (subs, amps cables, fire extinguishers)
*Run with least amount of petrol possible (but bring full can as well - a secure one)
*Headlights (only take 2 mins and will improve air flow!)
*Rear shelf
*Bonnet (alot of wieght and relatively easy to remove)
*Any toolboxes or other stuff layin in boot.
Wudnt bother with Carpet and plastic as these takes ages to get out and wiegh nowt.
