hay peeps basicaly having problems with watching videos or listening to music on the net, it all started happening after the other halfs brother moved back in.. he's on xbox and laptop 24/7 using the net.. thing is mises mum has laptop aswell but we were still able to use the net at the same time and it was fine...
seems like the brother is using 90% of the band with perminently an i do mean even at 5am its still being used as the home hub is flashing its tits off even when hes out and the laptop is sposed to be turned off....
any ideas other than changing the wep key which would be a great idea lol

You wont be able to limit the bandwidth through the router as the BT Home Hub shares it out equally and you cant adjust it.
He is obviously downloading from torrents\newsgroups or something to leave it hammering all night.
Can you get access to his laptop?

install ultravnc remote desktop on his lappy when his out. the connect and see what he's doing whenever or even take control hahah

lol canny really, but yeah hes downloading perminently, he hasnt been home for 2 days and the things still going nutts, checked his room and the laptop is off..
only thing is there is his laptop on the network still connected and that there is another modem on the network for some damn reason..
wouldnt mind telling him to fuck off, but seeing as he's turned knifes on his familie before puts me off a bit or i might have a little fight on me hands... (we bit of a head case and needs help i think)

might have to change the wep key as someone may be hijacking it.. have to have a chat with misses pairents as they are the sort of peeps that have literaly no idea about computers or anything in that area even tho they have been using them for years at work....

do th\t in this place and it wont reconnect for a day or so (hubs buggered but will they change it or actualy contact bt about it noooo)
