Hey just bought a cheap project corsa, which has already had a c20xe redtop enigine fitted! everything seemed fine untill i noticed the coolant was a chocolate milkshame colour and cosistancy. came to the conclusion it was oil in the water, so i checked oil filler cap and it was clean no yellow crap, then checked the oil n it was half way on the dip stick. i remember when i bought the car the oil was full and had covered around 100 miles untill i found the fault. the next day i started the car and had it running for no less then 10 mins while parking it up on the drive, checked the oil a while later after the engine had cooled and it was on the minimum mark on the dip stick. so i came online n started reading about gm heads havng a common fault with oil ways and waterways cracking between them but i feel its alot of oil to escape through the crack in 10 mins.
This engine is a early redtop with a dizzy cap, from wat i can make out it looks like a gm head not a coscast, i fink the donner vehicle was a g reg calibra. No idea on the engine mileage.
If Anyone has any opinions or past experiences that could help it would be a great help!
Chad.

im looking at doing the sleeve mod as there arent that many people who do the porous mods. and i know the place down the road from me used to do the sleeve or externally for £250, but i think thats when the engines were pretty new

there are tutorials floating about somewhere, just do it yourself if you're capable of taking the head off, you could do the sleeve inside the gallery.
