£40 a week.
No one can live on that, can they?
He wouldnt even get finance (even from those robbers) on that wage!
At £40 a WEEK he wont be able to eat let alone drive the damn car. £2000 a year.. COME ON
there has to be a typo or mistake.
£400 a week, £40 a day maybe
But he says hes well paid Nothing i've seen suggests he is

he has 2 jobs so say he's taking home £700 a month probably.

Thing is... that kid... he's currently thinking 'wow i got this lovely car, worth 3.5k ... I'm only paying £150 per month for ... result'.
However, in 3 years time, he'll still have finance on it... the car will be worth fuck all, grand at most and all 'novelty' of the car will have gone.
Hell, when I bought my s2000 at first I was like - everytime I got in it / drove it etc... feeling like 'aaahh nice new car'. That's just what happens when you get something new. However, once you've got used to it, the novelty wears off and then it's just 'your car'...
The fact is that muppet should've got a cheap run about £500-£1000 paid for out right, used it for a month or two till he saved a bit more and got a better car when he could afford it. What a absolute idiot... he'll be regretting this so much in 4 years time when he's still driving a shitter and still has no money as his wages have paid off this crap car for the last 4 years... meanwhile normal people he knows who are also 23 will have nice cars, good jobs etc.

Taxis and a text book on economics, mostly.
Not being able to get finance is a myth put about by companies like Carcraft. I've never struggled to get it even during my student days.
The soft bastard is even continue to argue that he won't miss the money. This is in spite of the facts that he could have either had the same car and given the extra money to charity, or got a considerably better car for the same commitment.
Being stupid is signing up to such an arrangement. Being utterly blind is continuing to believe that it was a good idea. It plainly wasn't.
At least he's done his bit for the motor trade. And my bit, and a few other peoples' bits.
