fuckin burger king £2.99 for a scabby cheese burger. £5.99 for a whopper on its own? do they have lisence to charge what they want? rediculous. i dont often venture down south or generally stop at services. but fook me, thats crazy. then in the shop, 90p for a mars bar, a bottle of coke £1.90

fuckin daft. i wish i was made of money some days. i went hungry and thirsty instead for another 100 miles. luckily, going to the toilet for a quick piss was free.

mental i tells you. mental.

Yeah all these places seem to be able to charge double. Airports are the same. I went into a weatherspoons in the airport last month & was charged about £15 for 2 breakfasts. Any other weatherspoons in the UK there like £3.99 each!!

Another example of being able to fuck the motorist due to the location & lack of other services. I very much doubt the workers get paid any more than that of a high street branch!!

i sometimes stop at a services on the m8 on way back from crail. its a m&s one, has some good food in it and isnt that expensive.

this moto or whatever its called, fuckin joke. only good thing to happen in there was i stuck £2 in bandit and won £3. wow, i had enough for a cheese burger.

the average working class man witha family of 4 couldnt afford to stop in the services these days.

Makes you wonder how they get away with it. Charging double because they can get away with it because people dont want to stray off of motorways etc. Their personnel and logistics cant be costing any more!!

People should boycot the money grabbing fucks

Its shit cos they advertise on tv, then go to a service station and pay more, false advertising aint it?

i work away & often have no choice but to stop at shitholes like these, glad there are more M&S stores popping up at the services, i know they are pricey, but its the same prices as normal for them, so i dont mind as much, plus, its much nicer & less chance of gut rot.

next time i venture south, im going to have to budget for a services stop i think. maybe do a bit more overtime so i can afford a snickers.

atleast the pizza i cooked when i got home was nice. you'd expect paying £9 odd for a burger king meal it would be the best burger you'd ever eat in your life. judging by the face on the people serving at burger king, it would have been a slopped together mess.

ken.

Services are generally a little more expensive but you have always got to eat. When i was on the road for my last job i had a few service stops for food and rests. Prices where no a massive issue as i claimed it back on my expenses.

Down South is worse. Paid £35 for a burger at a hotel i stayed at.

Also at Leeds i had to pay almost £1.40 a litre for diesel at one point. Had to pay it! Accident on the M62 and the fuel light had been on for over half an hour. At which point i was happy to pay silly money for fuel

i work at the motorway services and trust me none of the money goes towards staff at all! im on £5.78 an hour and im one of the highest earners except managers! they keep staff levels to a minimum and keep cutting hours so the extra like 50p+ on everything goes straight into the owners pockets!

The rental of the franchise on a motorway services is quiet alot more than a standard one, so it reflect in their price
