Most of them have no fixed abode, dont have british birth certificates, NI numbers or anything so for the police to try and pin one for a minor offence such as no tax or insurance the paperwork is astronomical and not worth the hasstle so they just turn a blind eye to pikeys unless its something like murder or rape.
Good way to live though, dont pay taxes or anything to the government. No outside forces influence your lives and you police your own land. Can see the appeal tbh as all us law abiding citizens get robbed blind and arse fucked by the government at an epic rate.
