How do I actually do it, just take it to the post office as normal?
How much will it cost?

Basically had a saxo electric powersteering pump on ebay with UK postage only, some idiot asks if I will post to Austria, I say no and he bids anyway and wins the auction.

How much did the buyer pay you for postage? if you have specified you won't ship there then don't do it, simple

Why not post it to Austria? What's the big hang up with not sending stuff abroad? It's not like your delivering it personally. Get online for a price from a few courriers, tell him how much it is, get his money and send it as you would if he was in this country. Don't forget, the weak pound makes UK prices very good for those in Europe, so why not open your auction to more bidders and therefore more money by letting anyone bid.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Aslong as he pays extra for the postage before hand then there shouldn't be a problem, if he refuses then don't send it and give him a refund on the item.
