Well i attempted to take my front wheels off today and the front passenger side locking nut is on too tight and i couldnt get it off and the locking nut slips, and doesnt grip on the actual bolt, i went to vauxhall and asked them how much it would be to sort it out and they said it would be a 3-4 hour job at £65 pound a hour lol i just laughed at him and walked out!! £260 to take one bolt out they have to be kidding?
any body got any ideas? not too bothered with it at the moment lol its been fine for months so no rush

What kind of locking nut is it?
Does it have a collar around the outside of the bolts?
If not hammer a socket over the outside of the bolt and loosen off.

You can get locking wheel nut extractors from halfords, could give that a go?
It happend to me aswell, i used an impact gun to shock the nuts, i'm glad it worked because some lad was there buying my wheels .

Try big drills, chisels and hammers, brute force it off yourself mate. What they're trying to charge is daylight robbery...or maybe try filing the circle nut into a hexagon shape...just don't pay them that, lol.
It's probably very strong steel though.

I've had no experience with the nut extractors.
Anything is worth a shout if it's going to get your nut off mate, certainly cheaper than paying £260 aswell.

You'll need to get the ring off the nut. Small chisel and hammer may do it.
Once the ring is off you can knock a socket around the nut.
At the minute with the ring on there isn't much for a socket or anything else to connect with so an impact gun won't work.

Just take the car and the locking nut key to a garage, and get them to use the air gun to get it off, had to get a mate to do that for mine, the garage didnt charge anything which was decent of them
