Iv'e been looking for an xe for couple of weeks now, but I dont want to pay silly money. Whats a fair price for just for a standard engine, gearbox, with loom and ecu.
I refuse to pay more than £200. Am I dreaming?

What have people paid in the past?

Dreaming? You are comatose dude!

For a decent one, expect to pay £300 plus £600 for a rebuild.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I don't get it, no one else in the world thinks there anything special apart from corsa owners. Anyone else thinks there just an old 2.0 litre. Speaking to the owner of scrap yard and he was like yeah £150 for engine £50 for gear box just like any other engine we sell, problem is they havnt had one in months, when I want one!

Weather people think there special or not that's what the going rate is for one (Private Sale) unless it's fcuked and you can get one for £100 or so.Yes in a scrap yard you may get one cheaper?

And they are special,Unless 100's of people wouldnt use them or as much anyhow,Especially not the World Touring Car's.

the 20xe is actually one of the best engines to ever be made imo anyway.

used for motorsport since it was produced and can make very very good power

if you can get them for £150 let me know as id snap em off you/breakers!

4 stud veccy SRi split 5 spoke wheels will sell for £150 without tyres on here, whereas if you found a set in a scrappy you'd be getting them for around £50 with rubber. Something's worth what someone's willing to pay for it.
