Well no one else is here and i didnt call u

they then go, two minutes later i hear voices coming from my modem so i picked up the phone, its the police !!!
my computer keeps calling them !!!

anyone have any idea why

By cable do you mean broadband? Because if its NTL theres no was your modem could do that.
