the ride is great but you have to 'drive' it....you have to watch traffic well ahead as it has rod brakes (no hydraulics) so you have to give yourself plenty of time to stop and when that time comes, you have to stand on the pedal nice and steady or all 4 wheels lock up and it skids.....especially when the road is wet
apart from that it'll keep up with modern traffic and gets plenty of looks everywhere it goes

I know I don't post a lot on here, but some of you may be interested in the latest on my old car......
firstly, theres been a colour change on the old girl......
and I've had her at a couple of shows over the last couple of months (not won anything as the chrome work still needs doing)
secondly, and more important there's been a couple of laws changed recently regarding old cars.....
wedding use of old cars.....old cars used for weddings now have to have a taxi license and be MOT'd every six months (just like a taxi) regardless of age (see below) and must have insurance to suit.
MOT exemption....from the 18th of November any car built before 1960 will be MOT exempt except if it's used as a wedding car.
I hope you don't mind me updating this thread, I rarely post on corsasport but do come on as a guest daily.

There's an Alvis showroom in Kenilworth, West Mids, that I drove past the other day. Lots of lovely old cars in there. They then went on to make a lot of military vehicles. In the 80s they even helped make a vehicle for Supacat who make military vehicles for the special forces nowadays. Plenty of Supacats out in Afghanistan.
