you ca get an sxi in a 1.4 and 1.8

main difference is body styling, sri has dirrferent mirrors and spoiler, and the seats are slightly different.

alloys are different too, think the SXI+ can come in a 1.4 but not the SXI.

Generally speaking, the different between SXi and SRi has been insurance. SXi is generally the 'sporty' one but without the performance of the SRi.

However, if we are talking Corsa C:
SXi = 1.2 16v, 1.4 16v (plus 1.3 CDTi's)
SXi+ = 1.2 16v, 1.4 16v, 1.8 16v's (plus 1.3 CDTi's).

SRi = 1.4 16v, 1.8 16v and 1.7 CDTi.

So the theory doesn't really work

Just when it was SXi+ which replaced the SRi for the last year or so of production.

Aye, to probably get rid of surplus stock like half leather seats etc.
