im thinking of getting my 13inch steelies banded 7.5 on the front and 8.5 at the rears, theres a guy on fleebay doing them at the mo at a decent price, just wondering have any of you guys had any expercience with banded wheels, my dads set against them saying there not safe?

They are safe as long as they are done properly, problem with someone doing them not for road use is that if they arent producing a certificate for them you don't know how well they are made, because welds can look nice but be no good at all.

yeah- a welding certificate is needed to proove thier safe and legal for road use; and doubt the ebay seller will be able to produce this; unlike wide-wheels company where they are more expensive but you are getting a legal certificate with the sale
