Moved into a flat a few weeks ago and decided to go with sky, after 3 weeks off waiting for the broadband to be turned on I just called them to find its going to be another 5 weeks Think I may cancel and go somewhere else.
Ideally i'm looking for a unlimited package, speed i'm not that bothered about but the faster the better I suppose.
Obviously the cheaper the better as well

O2 are great, and very cheap if you can get LLU.

Tiscali have been good for me.
up to 8mb unlimited for £7.49 a month and that's not the first 2 months crap, that's the full price.
If you tell them o2 is cheaper with faster speed they should sort you out with a better price then listed.
have been perfect for me and the speeds when tested are normally around 6mb (upto! 8mb)
But for gaming they have been good also, nice low ping's and reliable.
o2 are very good also.
10mb unlimited for £12.23

Sky are good,(well were when I had them, 24mb unlimited for £10-15, can't remember exactly) but if it's gonna take them that long then go with O2 as John said. Is cheaper if you're with o2 on contract, or even with payg.

Thanks for the input.
Had bad experiences with tiscali so i'll be giving them a miss.
Thinking about it, unlimited probably isn't required. I don't really download much anymore.
I'll check out 02.

Looks like I might just end up hanging on for the sky install. Don't want to jump out of the frying pan and into into the fire so to speak lol
Just annoys me that they quoted 3 weeks when I ordered but its going to be more like 2 months.

o2 are great, even better if you've got an o2 mobile contract. It will take off a few pounds off your monthly bills

Yeah we only pay £7.34/month for 8Mb broadband because I'm on O2 contract.
I'm sure I read on the O2 website that we could get up to 20Mb for no more than an extra £1/month?

Im hoping to go with o2, i was told the discount also applies if your on PAYG with them providing you top up at least £10 every 3 months, ideal. Think its £50 cashback on quidco aswell.

yea I also went via Quidco to pocket the £50 cashback.
So infact you're only just paying peanuts to have upto 8mb/s ADSL2!
no brainer!
