me and a few mates are talking about going over for a night 
Has anyone ever been on here?
What area is the best?
Did you stay in a hostel or hotel?
How much money should we look at taking?
Also we're looking at driving and then taking the ferry.....

I'm not. Its a case of arrive in port (Rotterdam) on the Monday morning, get on the coach to Amsterdam, smoke some weed*, get blown by a pro*, walk round the sex museum, then get back on the coach to the port...and sail back to Hull that same night

I went on the ferry earlier this year, it was brilliant.
We only spent the day in the dam but it was an experiance and a half.

I have no clue where most places are but aslong as i get a rough idea so i can sort out travelling and hotel.

Just got back from a 5day trip, however I stayed in Rotterdam (have friends that live there).
I'd recommend not taking a car for a night over - really not worth it. P&O provide a coach transfer direct to either Rotterdam or Amsterdam.
The Ferry 'night out' can be a little bit expensive. Spend ££ on the Ferry, and not Euros to prevent a little extra exchange rate rape.
Drink prices out there are slightly more expensive than a night out here, and you can't get served pints... just halves and bottles.
I'd say £75 for a good night on booze, £150+ if you plan on a proper night

tbh you can get a bus into the centre and just walk around and find things at your own leisure, most of the main sites are quite central from what I remember, (not much lol)
