this prob been brought up a few times, my 1.4 corsa B breeze has no lighter socket so i got one from the scrap yard the wires on the rear of this socket look flimsy to say the least,
i have tried to locate wires to connect to behind dash but theres none, i thought of two options
1.connect direct from battery
2.connect to the same laeds as the radio
does anyone know if i connect to the radio leads would this be safe to do so.
or could anyone advise the best way to wire this up
thanks very much in advance

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm sure the radio and cigarette lighter run off the same fuse? In which case it should be fine running it off the headunit wiring, but I'd make sure you put a fuse on the positive wire between the head unit positive and the cigarette lighter.

What I did was feed a wire through the grommit, onto the battery, with a fuse in the middle.
