No wonder you all thought it was crap! The pirate version may be DVD quality but it doesn't have any subtitles for the alien prawns!! So half the film and story is missed!

Prob explains why people who saw it at the cinema thought it was good but people who saw it on pirate thought it was crap.

can see how it would be really bad without sub-titles though.

oh right, cool

The one I downloaded was full dvd quality and audio... (I had already seen it at the cinema) but was showing my parents.

Then we got to the bit where they were being evicted and none of the alien's subs were coming up on screen would've completely ruined the story if the aliens weren't able to speak in the film, plus ruin half the humour!

I've seen it in the cinema and I had the dvdrip, that would have made no difference to the people who thought it was crap.

I can understand why people thought it was crap, they were expecting an alien action film, which it isn't.

I saw it in the cinema and quite liked it, makes a change from the usual Hollywood stuff that's churned out.

Just come back from seeing this...

One part of it totally ruined it for me

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

When they were going to get in the little ship and he knocked Christopher out... completely ruined the relationship they had built up, and it all kinda seemed pointless to me after that

Because of the above, I have no option but to give it 3.5/10 imo.

He knocked him out because he was going back to his planet and leaving him there, at that point he wouldn't exactly have just said ok, see you when you come back.

I know the reason, I think it was out of character.
