Finally got round to getting the camera back so want to make some use of it and the last few nights the sky has been really clear so thought it could be quite cool. Whenever I've tried it before it's just come out black

to freeze the sky i would imagine a silly high iso and lowest fnumber your lens can get and still a lowish shutter speed to get anything but the slower shutter speed would be the easiest and then you can get some pretty funky star trails *goes off to find an example*

good good, it is a cracking lens like i say the one i had was just noisey, tbf in time i will probably buy one when its cheaper somewhere.
really need to sell the 70-300 though as i can never see me using it.
also sat here in work thinking of some things i want to try but lack models and places to take such photos hmmmm
