I want to find the prices for a cd player to post, its about 13.5kg and I want it covered for £1500 quid. Looked on royal mail but can only find upto 500 notes. Anyone up on that kind of stuff?

parcelforce will insure higher value goods but it'll cost extra.

RMSD covers you up to £1k, have a look on http://www.parcels2go.co.uk can specify certain things on there, can choose value etc

People post stuff of that value all the time - what about when you get TV's and stuff delivered.

We get £6k dresses sent to us all the time via postal companies, as long as its insured for its true value then no worries.

Parcelforce is your best bet. You will probably be about £30- £40 I'd think..

fedex do that sort of range think its about £30
