Has anyone gone back into education after a couple of years?

I finished uni 2 years ago but was in two minds whether i wanted to do my masters or not. Was a lazy student who came out with a half decent grade some how.

I now want to go back!! Will have to be part time as the uni is 150 mile round trip, i have a full time job and need to keep working to pay for my living.

I quit my job when I was 22, went back to college at 23 & started a 3.5yr apprenticeship at 24.

Few years late but who cares. Its all been worthwhile.

It's a 2 year course, one day per week. Should be ok to juggle my hours about. If not, hoping my pay rise will cover the day lost per week. Just something i really want to do.

I also spend £200 a month on eating out, drinking and a recent gf who decided i'm not for her. I only go out drinking because i'm bored..

Unless it'll help to further your career i'd say think twice. If you take it, lose your job in the future and have to apply for something with no relevance to the masters you'll look over qualified. So if anything it'll work against you, but of course you don't have to mention it in an application.
