Mine seems to be giving up the ghost. Dont need an amazing, expensive laptop. All I really need it to do is get on the internet, store and play music/porn and enable me to use microsoft office. Most laptops will do this so any sugestions on good deals?

Look at taking an extended warranty with Dell though. My 1535 is just over a year old now and the battery now only lasts around 30 mins, plus it seems to be gradually getting slower. Otherwise can't complain

Ive got a Dell, its a good spec but i wouldn't have another.
Build quality is poor, screws constantly come loose, feels cheap and the battery is no absolutely fucked, wont work without the AC adapter at all, so ive had to buy a new one.
Paid extra for a 9cell battery in the 1st place aswell!
Mrs has just had a new work laptop (work paid for it) and thats quite alot better tbh but it is a business machine and id imagine it was quite deer.
Mine was around £600 2years ago.
