I got offered a set off wheels last night, at a price I really couldn't turn down
So I went over to see if they fit my calipers, and they do

Look how much clearance they have

I've also ordered some tyres which should turn up this week

I bought a engine stand from work before Christmas, but I couldn't be arsed to use it, because the shed was full, and I've been poorly
After mincing about trying to get it up right I sent the crane up, which was a lot easier:doh:
First off I fitted the type C manifold, it seems the hug the block and sump, it maybe better with a gasket a the nuts done up tight.

Then I fitted the 48mm tapers

I think I might of found my oil leak, which I thought was coming from the oil pump.

Looks to be coming from the cam cover.
I also found a better oil cap in a scrappy, on my travels.

This might be the last up date, for the Van thread.

The tyres I ordered turned up this week, they came with a warning label, not great for this time of year.

They look pretty cool.

wheres the locating dowel off the cam? lol and that manifold looks like its touching....as dodgy as sounds you may need to get it bent a touch so you have atleast a few mm of clearance, wouldnt be ideal if caught mani and cracked sump thats all.

The dowel is in the pulley, it had snapped when I bought them second hand. I reckon they didn't mod the head before it was turned over.

I'll have to see what the manifold is like, once I've fitted a gasket, and done the nuts up tight.
