i thought the olimpics was for amatuer sportsmen ans women??

how do proffesional tennis players get in and talk of golfers aswell like tiger etc??

I seem to remember reading that the Olympics done away with it's amatuer staus in the early 90's

They must of done, as Usain Bolt doesnt go and do his day job of serving in KFC after he has just set his latest WR.

I wouldnt mind betting 9/10 of the top athletes are pro now.

Apprently Boxing is the only sport that it still applies to as the scoring system is different to that of a Professional

Rugby seems an odd choice, bearing in mind it's not widely played around the world, yet something like squash which is played in most countries isn't in there.

You could say the same about Volleyball, Basketball, BMX racing, although I would agree that Squash is a strange omission
