no x16 have slightly larger ports than x14 they kept em smaller on x14 to keep good torque levels. they r different part no.s on EPC aswell

When you say throttle body and plenum,do you mean the standard plenum or a box like a power box etc.

both rocker covers to: Nessi
Rick V6 both the 1.6 and 1.4 16v have the same top end and both the heads r identical. i checked both part numbers too. this head was out of a 1.6 16v 1998 sport and had been ported and gad flowed

according to the feature in Total Vauxhall the 1.4 has smaller ports. Courtenay also say this.

i agree with miles,1.4 has smaller ports to keep gas speeds up.
If you fit a 1.6 head to the 1.4 you loose low torque for a gain high up.

well go on mig web and ask them and they will tell u exactly what me and matt c have just sed. the bloke i bought it off got me the part numbers from vauxhal and they were identical. total vaux states the the inlet ports where smaller on the inlet not the head i am sure of it. either way the head is a cracker and works well with the engine.
i am just trying to sell bits not cause a debate here
