I've been offered a H reg Nova with 78k, allegedly good nick. Tax & test but headgasket gone for £200. Assuming it's 3 door hatch is it worth it?

What do people pay for a clean, standard Nova for a project?

I've got the spare cash. If it's worth £400+ I might go for it?

Advice appreciated

eBay sounds like a plan

Are we talking £300 here? £500? I don't have a clue with Novas.

I assume the condition of doors/sills/arches/inner wings is the key. Are mint Novas still around, or does everybody expect / accept a bit of tin worm?

The condition of areas that are hard to replace are key! Scuttle, inner wings, chassis legs, floor pan etc. etc.

It's going to be worth more than £200 if it's not an utter piece of shecht.

£800 plus

valuations would be based on it having some remainder of t&t

a) Some serious rust - Scrap
b) Just a few bubbles - Bubbles on exterior but solid underneath £500-1000
c) Mint - £1000-£1200

But with it having 78k on the clock it's hardly going to be mint is it?

So based on these replies it would have to be either mint, or with just panel bubbling to be worth it?

Cheers everyone
