to have them both working on their own, ie not a horizontal extension or a vertical one
Or even a clone, so that i have 2 desktops and can open pages using whichever one i choose to?
Have my monitors here and currently set up horizontal, but would prefer independant if possible

Yes it is possible, I'm not sure how but my younger brother runs 3 monitors all displaying different things, all independent from another.

if anyone fancies this dual screen set up etc I can sell them my LG 19" Widescreen flatron for 75 and I have a couple of 256mb gfx cards with dual input for 15 quid
