I know this is a corsa forum, but i know a few have/had 106's so just wondering if you can help a mate out. He's recently bought a 106 1.1 and yesterday picked up some 106 gti alloys. He then realised today, that his car is 3 stud, and the gti alloys are 4 stud SO what is involved in a 4 stud conversion? what parts does he need? I have had a look on google and some people are saying he needs a full rear beam and others say he just needs hubs.
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks in advanced

You'll need some spacers for the alloys as well (

Why's that mate? Will they rub?
Cheers m17tty, asked the same question on 106owners and they said he needs a full rear beam. I'm confused to say the least.

The rears need spacing out by about 5mm each side, they get very close to the inner wheel arch

he shouldnt do as the drums can be swapped over for 4 stud instead of 3 stud. The stubs and bearings are the same iirc.

They shouldnt need spacers?
Anyways, for the money in converting it on 4 stud, he could buy a nice set of 3 stud compomotive mo's, go dirt cheap since no fucker has 3 studs

Trust me, the rears need spaing if you want to carry passengers.
The GTi beam is ever so slightly wider than the 1.1 one (giving it a wider track)

3 stud comp mos go for a fair price still, my mate has put up a set on a 106 website for around£300 and people wouldnt stop ringing him for them.
