Do you mean the floor behind passenger seat?
Possible sunroof if you have one, coming under the door seals?
I had a leak in an old escort once. I had to strip the carpets and go through a car wash and look for signs of water coming in.

what it could be is a ruber gromit under the car and it may have poped out it gets very wet when driveing a lot of spreay you can pull it out ant push it back or if you lost one goto the scrap yard and nick one but i did not say that hope it helps
