Hey.. I've got hands on a universal fuel pressure regulator, but how should I install it?

The stock one is fitted with large fuel hoses that doesnt fit on my universal one, but I was wondering if I could install it at some alternative location, and then just blind off the vac hose on the stock fpr, so that the fuel is just running straight through the stock unit... would this work?

and then cut the fuel returning hose at some point where I can install the adjustable fpr, and of course take the --------- okay nevermind I just made a drawing, lol

Will this work?

If anyone actually knows how to fit it, or if my pretty drawing would work, please let me know

Thanks in advance.

That wouldn't work anyway,as the standard reg is going to reduce the fuel before it gets to the afpr.

That's why I would blind off the vac hose on the stock one, to make it stop working.

So how would you install it?

What internal engine mods have you done that require an increase in fuel pressure? Do you have a fully mappable ecu to take advantage of the increased rate of fuel you want to put in? Do you think it will gain performance on it's own? (if so, you will be dissapointed as it will decrease the performance of a standard engine)

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I really have no expectations to it, but I just almost got it for free and think it looks fancy, so I could as well install it for fun and looks, and not much for performance..

But anyway, my cars setup is really not insane, but will do for me atm

For ours, we drilled the inners of the standard FPR out. Means all the control is from the Adjustable one.
Keep the vacuum on as it'll increase pressure as vacuum gets bigger.

We had the rail off anyway, so just used a big drill bit and mullered the insides out of it, the fuel hoses are a pig otherwise if you try and go straight to the adjustable.

Aight, that might work

But wouldnt the fuel run into the vacuum system if you dont block the vacuum brass on the stock fpr? ;o
