I dont really know what the petrol ones are like mate, I can say that this 1.6 diesel one is really quick for what it is. A remap will see it at 120bhp and 240lbft of torque which is more than enough and still return 60mpg

They are quite comparable really. Petrol has better top end due to the revs but there really isn't much in it!

What you have to remember is these are only 100bhp, good old restricted Ford engines. For what they are they go alright (obviously I am slightly biased) but nothing amazing by all means

My 2.0TD is only 100hp Graham Bet it ways a shedload more than this an all Its difficult going from a 120mph motorbike to a 100mph tops diesel, which takes about 10 minutes to get there

How do these 1.6's go? Id like to upgrade our car soon now Ive managed to get a new job and want to stay diesel really (although its only 7 miles each way to work, is it worth it )
