For the most part.
Hero has more RAM than a UK Magic and a better camera.
I'd wait for one of the newer ones with faster processor unless you get a really good deal.

There's a few android phones on the horizon, when I say that though I'm not sure when or what network, I just see them on various sites.
The magic and hero aren't bad phones at all, I'm really happy with my Magic, I just get bored easily.

I had a play on a Hero setting it up for a friend the other day. Much preferred my Magic. Better shape, colour, layout just seemed different too.

I think spec wise they're not, but I just think they look a hell of a lot nicer. I don't like the bend at the bottom of the Hero. Although, someone pointed out that it meant you could stand it on its side to watch BBC iPlayer etc, which would be neat I suppose, if you were that way inclined.

It would have to be at eye level for that to be any good imo, the screen would look terrible if it was on it's side on a normal desk with you trying to watch it.
beebplayer is good btw if I've not mentioned it before.

That's true. TBH I got that bit of advice from the girl in the petrol station because they usually have a tv in there, but it doesn't even have a scart so they can't get digital with terrestrial being turned off so I recommended a HTC. She loves it. Think she could adjust her swivel chair so it's the right eye level
